New Business

New Comers Class Announced - February 9, 2008

Surrounding regions invited to participate.  Event to be held at Gavin and Safiyes. Classes on intro to leather armor making, chainmail jewelry, court etiquette, and sewing basics are proposed topics.

Larkin purposed the SCA to participate in Children’s Fair the last Sunday of April at Unidad Park.   This would help the Sci-Fi Club.  Contact Larkin if interested in helping.

Gavin present the new kingdom edict announced at 12th night the night before.

The Western Region is being dissolved. Therefore Trelac had a choice to join either the Central Region or the Southern Region.  A written poll was taken as to which region we should join.

There are also several shires being dissolved. They were given a choice to join forces with Bonwicke or Trelac.  Therefore in attempt to welcome our new shireless people, it was purposed to move populace to Saturday with a rotating location.

Gavin also verbally committed to the dissolving shires that should they choose Trelac, we would be willing to refund them their money or $1000 (whichever is greater) should they reestablish their shires in 5 years.  VOTING was tabled, until proposal is in writing.

Gavin announced that he would post info on the web and will send our support to other shires.  (Please check website for latest updates)

Discussion of establishing a barony with Martha as the Baroness was established as a possible goal.  We currently have 31 supporting members and want to move forward.
