Rapier Drills
Meets Thursday nights at 6:30pm at Kirby Park on Edmund Dr. We are focusing on repetitive and mental drills to improve muscle memory used in rapier fighting. We end the evening with free fencing to try to use the skills we have worked on.
General Practice
Meets most Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm at Kirby Park on Edmund Dr. Check the calendar for changes. This is a free structured practice to put what we've learned to use. Any and all who are interested in SCA rapier combat are welcome.

Heavy Rapier in the Style of Giacomo DiGrassi
Meets Tuesday nights at 6:30 at Kirby Park on Edmund Dr. We started this series on January 2, 2007, but please feel free to join us any time. We are reading very slowly through the 1594 English version of Giacomo DiGrassi: His True Art of Defense. It would be helpful for you to print this manual out to have with you, but not necessary. What I had to do was copy and paste to a word processing program to format the paragraphs so that it didn't print in one narrow columm, using 3 times the paper. If you are unable do this, let me know and I will help. We are taking this information and applying what we learn for use within the SCA rapier rules.

Youth Rapier
Currently does not have a scheduled practice. Please contact me if you and your youth are interested. We will make arrangements. Youth rapier encompasses young people from ages 12-17. Practice will include drilling, and the youth-specific rules. Parents are strongly urged to attend all classes and are required to attend and take the first, as it will introduce the basic rules and armor requirements, as well as let the parent see what we will be doing. If a parent is not available for any practice, but wants their child to be able to attend, there are some forms that must be filled out and notorized for each occurrance. Please contact me at the above number for more information and to let me know if you will be attending.
